We offer a range of secure and convenient payment options so you can choose the method that suits you best.

American Express
Apple Pay
Google Pay

Shop Pay
Afterpay

Afterpay

Afterpay is available to customers in New Zealand and Australia. It allows you to shop now and pay later by splitting your purchase into four equal payments made every two weeks.

To use Afterpay, you must be over 18, have an active Afterpay account and your order total must fall between 40 dollars and 2000 dollars. Afterpay will approve or decline your order based on their own criteria. Popculture Tengoku is not able to view or influence their decision. If your transaction is declined, please contact Afterpay directly.

Afterpay cannot be used to purchase gift cards.

Store Credit and Gift Cards

During promotions and giveaways, we sometimes issue store credit in the form of gift cards. Once the credit has been applied to your account, you can use it immediately at checkout.

Some gift cards or promotional credits may have expiry dates. Store credit issued in lieu of a refund will remain active until fully used.

PayPal

PayPal is available as a payment option during checkout. Choosing PayPal can speed up your order processing and is also our preferred method for pre order purchases, as it allows us to confirm payment quickly and securely.

Shop Pay

Shop Pay offers an accelerated checkout experience by securely saving your email, card details and shipping information. When using Shop Pay, you will receive a six digit confirmation code via text message to approve your order. Your payment is processed once the code is entered.

Checkout Currency

Popculture Tengoku is based in New Zealand. While our site allows you to view prices in your local currency through a currency converter, the final checkout will always process in New Zealand dollars. Your bank or payment provider will handle the currency conversion.

Fraud Prevention Software

To protect our customers and our store from unauthorised credit card use, we use Fraud Prevention Software from NoFraud. This system helps prevent fraudulent transactions while keeping genuine customers safe.

How it works

When you place an order using a credit card, the system reviews the information provided. If everything looks normal, your order will proceed as usual.

If unusual or inconsistent information is detected, your order may be placed on hold. In this case, NoFraud may contact you by email, phone or text to verify your details. They may ask for additional information to confirm your identity or payment method. This helps ensure that the cardholder is the person placing the order.

Only Popculture Tengoku Limited and NoFraud analysts will ever see this information. We take privacy seriously and keep all customer information strictly confidential. We understand this process can feel inconvenient, but it is an important step in preventing fraud and protecting our community.

If verification is successful, your order will continue processing. If we cannot verify the order within three business days, or if the information does not match, we will cancel the order and issue a full refund if payment has already been made.

Common things that trigger fraud alerts

Using a Virtual Private Network
Using an IP changer or masked connection

If possible, please turn these off before checking out. Orders placed through VPNs or IP changers are more likely to require manual verification or cancellation.

If you are ever contacted by us or by NoFraud, please understand that this is simply part of our effort to protect customers and prevent fraudulent activity.
